Core Subjects

We follow a complete academic program, following the Italian ministerial curriculum and integrating it with significant exposure to the English language. The curricular activities are designed to promote balanced learning in both languages, offering students a diverse and multicultural education.

We combine the Italian curriculum with a strong focus on the English language, offering students a complete academic education while offering them the possibility to choose between an Italian or international education in the future.

As part of the Italian ministerial programme, students acquire fundamental skills in subjects such as mathematics, science, history, geography and of course Italian and English. Students are prepared for the Cambridge English certification that they may obtain at the end of the secondary cycle.

Practical Learning

Our school embraces experiential learning as a foundational pedagogical approach, giving significant importance to hands-on activities that complement traditional lessons. This is especially evident in science subjects, which naturally lend themselves to this method, but also extends to subjects like Italian and English. These initiatives aim to create a dynamic environment where students not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also actively engage in practical experiences.

Science labs involve students in hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, fostering problem-solving skills and innovative thinking. Meanwhile, Italian and English lessons include workshops focused on writing, creative reading, and communication through music, prose, and poetry, helping students develop their language skills. This immersive approach is designed to prepare students through tangible and interactive experiences.

Creativity

At Northlands International, we place great emphasis on creativity, which we consider a fundamental element for well-rounded and harmonious development. We give significant importance to creative subjects such as art, music, and drama. These disciplines are essential for stimulating imagination, creativity, and self-esteem. In art lessons, which alternate with art history, students explore various techniques and work with different materials. Music lessons offer the opportunity to appreciate the beauty and diversity of music through time, ranging from classical music to singer-songwriters and modern productions, while also developing musical skills. The drama course is integrated into our curriculum to promote self-confidence and communication skills. Students take part in theatre projects that foster collaboration, creativity, and the ability to express emotions through performance. This multidisciplinary approach to the creative arts reflects our commitment to providing a diverse and stimulating educational environment where every student has the opportunity to explore, grow, and express themselves through art, music, and drama.
